Stephen Young

Stephen is the Executive Vice President of TPCM-USA and the founder and Managing Partner of TPCM-Australia. He has more than 40 year’s international and domestic experience in crisis, emergency and incident management and is both an expert in the field and a passionate believer in building stronger more capable organizations.
Stephens holds a master's degree of Emergency Management and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a founding Fellow of the International Institute of Civil Protection and Emergency Management, a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and attended Harvard University Kennedy School of Executive Education to undertake executive level professional development, in Crisis Leadership.
In 2004 Stephen was awarded a Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal for his services to the Iraqi Civil Defense Directorate. Where he led the multi-national reconstruction of Iraq's Civil Defense Directorate. In 2006 he received a certificate of special commendation from the Prime Minister and the Queensland Premier for his leadership role during the response and recovery from Tropical Cyclone Larry, one of Australia's worst natural
disasters. A highly sought-after speaker and facilitator, Stephen leads his consultancy, training and leadership services
across public, private and Non-Government Organizational (NGO) sectors, and is regarded and recognized as one of Australia’s most experienced crisis and emergency management practitioner and thought leader in the country.
